Rabla Auto 2026 – private individuals

The Rabla Auto 2026 programme of the Environment Fund Administration (AFM) gives private individuals an eco-voucher toward a new vehicle, in exchange for scrapping an old one. The vouchers: 18,500 lei for a new all-electric or hydrogen fuel-cell vehicle; 15,000 lei for a new plug-in hybrid or an electric motorcycle; 12,000 lei for a new hybrid; 10,000 lei for a new vehicle with a combustion engine (including LPG or CNG) or a motorcycle. An applicant can register for one or two vouchers. The session started on 20 July 2026. On 25 August 2026 AFM redistributed 93,737,000 lei that had not been used, and registration is open until 31 December 2026, 23:59, or until the funds run out. The latest official notice we found is from 2 September 2026; if the funds have run out since, the AFM application no longer takes requests, so check the official site before you prepare the file. Buying a new vehicle from a manufacturer validated in the programme.

1. Register online in the AFM application (inscrierionline.afm.ro): download the funding request from the application, fill it in and upload it. 2. The application gives you a registration number and reserves the voucher, within the available budget. 3. Within 10 days of the registration number, enter the chassis number of the old vehicle, upload the documents from the guide and pick a validated manufacturer. 4. After approval (“approved beneficiary”), you have 60 days to scrap and deregister the old vehicle and upload the documents in the application.
