About the programme

Livestock keepers receive support from APIA through the interventions of the 2023–2027 National Strategic Plan, among them coupled support and animal-welfare payments, claimed through the payment request in the yearly campaign. The per-head amounts differ by intervention and are set by ministerial orders; we do not copy them here. The 2026 campaign: the deadline for the payment request was 5 June 2026 (according to press reports citing APIA and the ministry); the campaign has ended. Animal-welfare claims (DR-06) had a separate deadline, 3 February 2026, also according to the press. The next campaign, in 2027, will be announced on apia.org.ro. APIA's official 2026 campaign page no longer showed the deadline on 13 October 2026; the dates come from the press.

What do these words mean?

Eligible

Eligible means you meet the programme's conditions. An eligible expense is one the programme can actually pay for; an ineligible one you pay yourself, even if the project is approved.

Applicant and beneficiary

The applicant is the one who asks for the funding. They become a beneficiary only after the request is approved and they sign the funding contract or decision.

Application session (call)

The period when the institution takes requests. Once it closes you can no longer apply, and sometimes the funds run out before the last day. A programme may have several sessions a year or only one.

Applicant's guide

The official document with all the rules: who can apply, which expenses count, which papers you need and how scoring works. If anything differs from what FonduRO says, the guide is what counts.
